Westchester County (NY) Chapter

Our Founding Members

The Westchester County (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was established on June 10, 1950. Since then the organization has engaged in programs which impact the African American community, and the African Diaspora. Our programs combine a long-term commitment to local projects with attention to the themes of the National Links organization. We currently have 41 members who provide community service through five facets: National Trends and Services, The Arts, Services to Youth, International Trends and Services,  and Health and Human Services.

Over the years we have collaborated with numerous organizations such as: The Urban League of Westchester; Westchester Fund for Women and Girls; NAACP ACTSO; Colgate-Palmolive Company “Bright Smiles, Bright Futures®”; Pepsico; National Panhellenic Council, Inc.; Westchester County African American Advisory Board; African American Men of Westchester; Westchester Alliance of Black School Educators; Westchester County Departments of Health, and Senior Programs and Services; American Red Cross in Westchester; Interracial Women’s Leadership Roundtable; Westchester Library System; Neuberger Museum of Art; Hudson River Museum; Black Scholars Community Partnership; Lois Bronz Children’s Center; community centers in Greenburgh, and Port Chester; the Coachman Family Center; and Mount Vernon, Woodlands, and New Rochelle high schools.
